In 2015 Defence Housing Australia released the first stage of their 500 Lot subdivision at Wirraway, Thornton. Of the 500 lots created, DHA developed 250 homes themselves and sold the remaining 250 lots to the private market. The 250 homes developed by the DHA were rolled out and staged over 5 years.

Stage 1 commenced in 2015 and consisted of 51 dwellings of which Valley Homes were selected after a strict tender process to complete 26 of them. Being a Design and Construction contract, Valley Homes co-ordinated the design and approvals process as well as completing a full turn key product with no variations, on 23^rd December 2015.

Stage 2 followed in 2016 and Valley Homes was awarded 24 homes out of 46.  A very tight contract period of 22 weeks, handover was achieved on time and again with no variations issued.

In 2017 Stage 3 was split into 3A (15 dwellings) and 3B (25 dwellings) with the entire project awarded to Valley Homes.  These stages ran separately with a 6 week overlap and were delivered on time and on budget.

In 2018 Valley Homes was awarded the entire Stage 4 being 40 dwellings, after successfully tendering in late 2017. The final stage of 48 dwellings, was delivered in late 2019 on time and on budget.
